I'm not sure about meme status, though I have seen that passed around. It seems to be a work by artist Anton Kannemeyer, a South African man whose work deals with race, stereotypes,etc. I think the bottom is the original; its title is "White Nightmare."

I'm pretty sure they're just optical illusions, though they are popular online thanks to things like animated .gifs and youtube that make them easier to share.

That is Rock-Paper-Scissors-Lizard-Spock, a variation on Rock-Paper-Scissors popularized by The Big Bang Theory. Wikipedia has an article about it, but I wouldn't say it's a meme.

I see these type of images and derivatives popping up every now and then.
