Need Help With an Entry?

I could use some help finding information on the Spread and Popularity of Digimon. I can't seem to find any information on the wikis or through Google searches. Any help is appreciated.

I really hate posting 2 messages in a row, but I can't edit my post now. I have found some more information, So I'm looking into what the Digimon post needs. I know its probably lacking a lot but I'm not sure what to add, so some pointers would help.

I didn't know who I should turn to with this, so I decided to post here.

I recently stumbled upon the Two Best Friends Play entry, and noticed that the page is REALLY heavy to load. People seem to have gone a bit overboard and embedded 30 videos to the page. Needless to say it nearly crashed stuff, and is probably causing trouble for some people visiting it.

I'm not an editor of the entry myself, but could someone who is, work on it a little. Maybe turn the unnecessary embed videos into images to make it easier for visitors to actually load the page, and also upload a better resolution image for the header. The current header is small, stretched out, and linked from elsewhere instead of KYM.

I posted this a little over a week ago, and I wasn't able to find too much information on it's origin so I was wondering if anyone had anymore information on it that I didn't cover. Also, any general tips on the organization would be much appreciated.

Well I caved and desired to post the TF submission I want to make sure the entry is closer to the Cosplay page than the inflation/vore/party hard pages. So any help will be appreciated

I just started a big boss salute entry and have never made an entry before. It is in my best interest to see the article to be at least substantial. I need help finding sources for the reaction image and don't know where to look.

I did some work on the Persona entry.

Could someone please fix/update the Google Search Interest to also include Persona 5 in addition to the old searches, which were Persona 3, Persona 4, and ペルソナ.

The footnotes should probably also be arranged into to columns. I'm not good enough with textile to do this myself.

Done.

Thank you for your updating!

How to make an entry? I just found a new trend.

This may not be the place to ask this, but this thread seems like the closest fit:

Should "Dead Memes" have an entry?

I would assume it would be fall under a similar category as Forced or Dank Memes, but I am unsure of whether or not there should actually be an entry.

I need help with finding when and where the Pokemon variants fad started that is currently spreading on Tumblr and DeviantART.

I would also like help with finding the spread of it.

This is the earliest example of the Pokemon Variants I could find, posted about a year ago.
http://scasblog.tumblr.com

I would personally start the origins part of the entry with something about how gen 2 introduced different-looking pokemon, with shinies and formes, and how the fanbase eventually started creating their own formes of pokemon, which eventually became the Pokemon Variants thing we have today.

That Tumblr link does have lots of NSFW content (boobs with nipples, exposed female genetalia (not actual porn though)).

I can't find any variations the person made and I went through every page. Let me know if I missed any.

Hmm, that link should go directly to the post where I found this picture

, but I didn't check the rest of the blog, so apologies on that.

The entry looks good so far, keep up the good work!

I need some help on the Million Dollar Extreme page. Links to reddit, encyclopediadramatica and other research material are on the page. Contact me !

I would like to know what kinds of additions I should make to the Angry Joe entry in addition to the Nintendo controversy.

Add a new header to the entry, start explaining which was the video taken down by Nintendo, and then the video he made about it and the coverage of it.

Hello,
I have trouble finding an image that i thought i had seen here before.
It a sort of a mix between shitpost and computer reaction guy.
It is basically a computer reaction guy image but insted of a guy it's with an ass using the computer holding the mouse between it's butt cheeks. It's in color.
If you may have any idea where i can find it? Thanks.

Could someone add some relevant pics to the bara entry, make it look pretty? I'm a lot better at the writing side of this whole thing.

Done. Also, nice job on the entry ;)

I need this to have the boxes instead of the colons, please.
If anybody knows how to make this look more neat, I thank you.

Mah' 1984 article could use some help. Been tinkering with it but I'm not sure what more to add.

My two cents:

  • History: Expand the section: talk about possible inspirations for the book, and talk more about the movies. Also, add the trailers under the text.
  • Impact: This part isn't easy, but here you can write about the impact of this novel on literature, and some works that are inspired by it.
  • Reception: Write about the awards the novel recieved, and it's "score" on literature sites (I guess it should work on a similar way than IMDb for movies and TV series).
  • Online Relevance: The most important header of the entry: here you have to explain the spread of the subculture on the Internet. Basically: parody videos, comics, etc. (if you need examples just check any subculture entry)
  • Fandom: You can merge this one with "Online Relevance", though I prefer separating it. Here you must refer to the novel / movie fandom: fansites, fanart, fanfictions. Also the spread on Tumblr, 4chan and reddit (if there's a subreddit put it instead).
  • Related Memes: This section is alright, but I guess you should prove those catchphrases have a real Internet spread and aren't just famous catchphrases.

Post entries you need help with or just a simple review.

Others can look into it and give you the stuff you need. This by posting it here, making a suggestion/comment on the entry or request editorship.

Do use this thread for:

  • Requesting help on stuff you can't seem to find (origin, certain website, etc).
  • Ask for possible missing information (spread you don't know about).
  • A review for your entry.
  • Certain things only moderators can do (adding it to a parent entry).

Do NOT use this entry for:

  • Requesting a confirm/deadpool/re-submission.
  • Advertise your own creation.
  • A get-out-of-jail free card, at least attempt to do some work yourself first.

When you want to help a person posting here by requesting editorship, please look at this thread first. Far too often I receive editorship requests of people making great promises, only to end up doing nothing or maybe one grammar check. This is stuff for suggestions.

I read all the rules and stuff and I don't know how to?

^The thing is all the entries you mentioned already have sensible parent entries. Given that we have entries like Forced Meme, I'd prioritize making the entries you mentioned as subs as you requested if it were my call, but the style guide specifically states that parent-entries should be considered with the following:

1) An entry about another meme or event that spawned this meme
2) An entry about a subculture that is the main subject of the meme
3) An entry about a person that is the main subject or creator of the meme
4) An entry about a website that is the exclusive host of the meme

The entries you presented all seem to be following the rules. I suppose for now just tag Forced Meme with the names of the memes you want subbed under it :/

I created an entry for you make my kokoro go doki doki, but after looking around a few sites (4archives, lurkmore, ED, and uncyclopedia to be specific) and googling it I still can't find an early mention to put in the origin, or give good examples of spread. I'm new to all this too, so even if I did it'd probably be poorly written. Anyone mind helping me out?

I found an early reference (January 15th, 2012), and now have a bit of spread, but I'm still lacking notable examples and the article is barebones, so any help would be much appreciated.

I have received a warning in the past stating in a nutshell if I make another crappy submission (legit meme or not), I will be banned.
I need help with this submission: https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/dr-bob
I didn't make this meme, but I know who did.

Well, most of the Dr. Bob posts have about 30 likes, so I don't think it's popular enough to be a meme yet.

Also, you aren't getting banned anytime soon. I don't really know why Platus gave you that warning….

Phew. I can make memes without worry now.

But what does this mean for the fact that Dr. Bob isn't a meme yet?

Ehhh, wait a few weeks and see if it's more popular. I don't think it's widespread enough yet.

Hey I got 2 fresh memes for you.
1: The Keemstar "Why am I still getting hate" meme is a well loved meme by many and should be on this website.
2: LeathalCornCobs: This isnt a popular meme but its a great one. It is a distorted song with a man singing about leathalcorncobs that is a rip off of the yokai watch theme song 2. It is a fresh meme and I want others to know about its greatness

So recently there's been a civil war on r/me_irl between people posting skeleton memes and people posting images related to Bear In The Big Blue House. I just recently made an article about it I have no problem with fixing it up later on but my main issue is I am finding it incredibly difficult finding the original bear-related image on that subreddit, if someone could fact check my origin section I'd much appreciate it.

also please put it as part of the series on skeletons, since it's right now very much related to them

I have two entries that need to be heavily overhauled because I have very little experience with creating entries and editing them in general along with my personal life in the way. It would be appreciative to have these entries worth researching.

Hey, I got editorship for the Big Smoke's Order article today from the entry creator and decided to give it a huge overhaul with formatting and removing unnecessary information, especially since I've been seeing around quite often on Facebook, but I can't seem to find a definitive reason as to why the meme suddenly became popular.

The search query I added at the bottom of the page can prove that it has had a spike in interest within the last two months, as well a smaller spike around 2004 when GTA: San Andreas (where the meme originates from) was released, but I'm having trouble finding a source for its recent popularity outside of this prank call from 2014 where some dude pranks calls McDonalds using Big Smoke's voice clips.
