In the midst of the 90's Hollywood producers turned a LIVE pilot of SAINT SEIYA … #NoFake A few days ago, a trailer never broadcast was found by Spanish fans, the result is beyond comprehension ?!

This is the most bad & kitch shit I have seen in a while. Mortal Kombat movies were good compared to this…

^I can see why don't find appealing this current season: with most of anime based either highschool/isekai setting, things can get vert stale very fast. And being honest the only anime I'm watching currently are Cells at Work and My Hero Academia.

I'm just asking for good characters, an interesting setting and well animated action scenes, that's what I want!

actions optional for me.

Just finished Happy Sugar Life.

There is quality to be found in its stellar visual and audio direction, and Episode 7 stands out as a really creative perspective shift, but there's so much laughable and melodramatic bullshit that I found it hard to take seriously. If you're turned off by the premise, like I should have been, don't even bother. There is quality here, it's just that the show's core content, its characters and story, are not up to par with the highlights.

5/10 at best, 4/10 at worst.

Bumping this thread.

Started watching Cowboy Bebop for the first time a couple days ago. I know it's kind of common knowledge of this anime being considered a masterwork of science fiction, but regardless, so far for me, not a single episode has failed to engage me, and I'm only halfway through the series. The visuals hold up incredibly well for an anime that is 20 years old and the characters are all great and engaging. Not to mention the world of Cowboy Bebop is so cool and engaging as well. I'm only halfway through and I can't wait to watch the next half of the series.

So I heard you want to make a anime show that hits, eh?

  1. Get an idol group.
  2. Add an extraordinary element in it, like racehorses, stage plays or zombies.
  3. ???
  4. PROFIT!!

And that's what made A Place Further Than the Universe so special: it delivered without needing an idol group. Congratulations, you are the Anime of the Year.

Also, there's the Shittiest Anime of the Year. And we all know which.

Not mentioning the phenomenal original soundtrack of the series is a sin.

^Now speaking of Kaguya
Am I the only one who doesn't like Kaguya at all, or it's just me?
I swear, in everyplace everyone is weebing the fuck out about the manga/anime, I honestly surprised how KYM haven't made an entry in the get go given its popularity. I don't see really what makes Kaguya so damn interesting: the setting, the premise and characters you probably saw it in other shows.
So yeah I don't like it, if anyone wants to debate me about it I'll be here from 5 to 7.

Honestly, I don't like the Kaguya's anime either. And I'm like the manga, but the anime was pretty meh. Even, I had problems for end the serie at all.

In other hand, this year look very solid in anime titles. In Sprong we have Mob Psycho 100, Dororo, 5-touboun, etc. This season we have OPM 2, Kimetsu no Yaiba, Senryuu Shoujo, etc. And in the year we will have things like Vinland Saga, Katsute Kami Datta Kemono-tachi e, Beastars, etc.

Honestly, this is one of the best anime years in this century. Prove me wrong.

I don't like the Kaguya's anime either.

Whelp that's A-1 pictures for ya but I agree, the anime adaptation did not make justice for the manga artwork, specially for Kayuga and Shirogame, their designs looked flat and boring in contrast to the manga where they're very expressive and detailed in their facial expressions. I may not like the source material but for the fans of Kayuga it really was a big oof.
