PPG is being rebooted yet again, but unlike the much maligned 2016 reboot, this time original creator Craig McCracken is returning as showrunner. Animation for this reboot is also being handled by Hanna-Barbera Europe, the same studio that did The Amazing World of Gumball. No word yet on the voice cast yet but I expect McCracken will most likely get the original Girls' voice actors back (I also expect Ms. Bellum will return in this reboot, the most I expect they'll change is they will probably just cover up her cleavage). I admit I'm getting Devil May Cry deja vu, where after the controversial 2013 reboot by a different team, Capcom would later bring the series back under DMC3 and 4's director for DMC5.

Also of note is this isn't the only show McCracken is rebooting, as he's also going to helm a reboot of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. However I expect this reboot will be less warmly received as McCracken has already confirmed this reboot is going to be aimed at a pre-schooler audience rather than the more "general" audience of the original series, which is kinda why I chose to focus more on the PPG announcement in the title than the one about Foster's.
