I definitely plan to give it a look. The designs look neat. I doubt I'll get into it as much as I did G4 but I bet it'll be alright.

I don't think I will. I actually kinda stopped with G4 a while back already. I highly doubt this will bring me back in.

Going to strap in for another several-year run, that's for sure.

Hey so here's a question – what do you think it'll be like when the brony phenomenon becomes an object of nostalgia?

Like, I'll give it 10-15 years before 2010s stuff becomes retro and gets the same treatment the 80s did. Definitely it'll happen by 2040. And there is no reason why Pony can't get swept up in that.

So what do you imagine happening? What does the rose-tinted, aesthetic-minus-substance version of the post-season 2 fandom peak look like in your heads?

I've actually already seen a bit of this popping up. My videos always get a deluge of comments from people who grew up watching the show, and revisiting a few old classics that scarred people back in the day, I see a lot of comments saying "I remember this! This ruined my childhood!"

I don't know that the future will be too different from that. Just people doing throwbacks to old fandom songs they used to vibe to as children and occasionally making MLP versions of animation memes.

One thing that I've noticed has stuck around and seems to have developed a sort of sub-fandom is Pony Town, the online game. I'm curious to see if that keeps up its momentum, because that may very well be the next big thing to start getting pony nostalgia waves
